Birthday & soccer!!
Time is going by so incredibly fast!!! It has been another 4 weeks since I wrote my blog!
In one of my classes, Anatomy & Sports Injuries, I learned how to tape an ankle, I thought it was super interesting. Especially since my own ankle was/is being taped a lot :) That same week I found out that I made the girls Varsity (best of 2) soccer team and we had our first practice of the season on Friday. Afterwards I went out for dinner with Sierra, Payton and her Korean host sister. We had so much fun :) Saturday Alexa, Emi and I went for a biking trip to the oceanfront. The sun was out and it was finally warm again (I got sunburned!!!) That same day Abby, Sierra, Payton and I went to a concert of a friend of Abby’s. It wasn’t really my kind of music but it was fun :) Afterwards we went to Shop and slept over at Sierras. Wednesday mom, dad & I had dinner at a delicious Italian restaurant near the oceanfront. We went to the beach house for the weekend. It was very windy and super cold.. We stayed inside watched some movies and played games! On Sunday we tried to take a walk on the beach but that didn’t really work out since it wasn’t there ;) During soccer season my team and I will have dinner together the night before every game day. Since we were going to have a scrimmage on Friday, we had our first team dinner on Thursday evening. I had so much fun with the girls and I can’t wait for all of the things we’re going to do together during the rest of the season! We played our scrimmage against a private school, Bishop Sullivan, and it ended up in a tie. After the game I hung out with a group of friends from leadership workshop and slept over at Adriana’s afterwards! Andrew, Leslie and the dogs stayed with us for the weekend so we went shopping out for dinner at 3 Amigos on Saturday. All of a sudden our waitress puts a sombrero on my head and all the waiters and waitresses start singing happy birthday for me, it was a funny (and embarrassing) suprise!! Sunday mom, dad & I saw Red Sparrow and had dinner with Mike & Marcie afterwards! Tuesday we were supposed to have our second scrimmage but because of the rain it was moved to Wednesday. We played another private school, Norfolk Academy, and lost 1-0. Sports teams at private schools are usually better than teams at public schools so let’s hope the we’ll win the next game! Thursday was the big day!!!!! It was my birthday!!! I FINALLY TURNED 18!!!!!! The day I’ve been waiting for since forever!! I, of course, had school but it wasn’t a normal schoolday! I went on a field trip to the aquarium with a group of German students that are here for 10 days. I had not been to the aquarium yet and I really enjoyed it! Instead of practice that day we watched the girls Junior Varsity (JV) soccer game, the sun was shining and it wasn’t that cold so it was perfect :) For dinner mom, dad and I went to Olive Garden’s, it was sooooooo good, wow!! I would love to go there more often, hahah ;) Friday evening I had the academy ball at school, they call it a ball but it wasn’t that formal at all! It was a lovely evening with lots of food :) Saturday afternoon I was skyping with my family and at the same time a package was delivered!!! It was a box full of birthday gifts from home!! Including a magazine about me and my life, created by my family and friends!! The best gift ever!!!!!!!!!!! I want to thank everyone that put time and effort in this!! It is amazing and I will cherish it forever!! To celebrate my birthday I invited some friends on Saturday (Lana, Johanna, Sierra, Payton and Abby) to have pizza at Ynot and go iceskating!! It was so much fun, I love my friends!!
Looking at all of the things I did, this month was awesome!!!!! Can’t wait for all that’s going to come!
Love, Sacha
